What a numbers-only fitting can do
Ball flight is physics, and the numbers a launch monitor gives you say a lot. From speed, launch, spin and descent we can tell you where your flight sits against the optimal windows for someone swinging as fast as you do, which of those numbers is costing you the most, and which specification changes the published evidence says would move them.
Every recommendation traces to a rule with a source you can read, and each one carries a confidence label. That is the honest ceiling of what your numbers alone support.
What it cannot do, specifically
- Lie angle. Needs a board or impact tape and someone watching. A static guess lands within a degree for roughly three quarters of golfers, which is not good enough to build a set on.
- Length. Comes from your wrist-to-floor measurement and where you actually strike the face. Neither is in your numbers.
- Strike location. Two golfers with identical spin numbers can be missing in opposite directions on the face, and the fix differs.
- Tempo and transition. These drive shaft choice more than speed does, and no number you can type describes them.
- Feel, sound and looks. Real reasons to choose one club over another, and entirely yours to judge.
Where the numbers came from matters
A driving range monitor usually estimates spin rather than measuring it. A handful of swings says less than a full session, and even a repeatable swing varies by about five yards of carry from shot to shot. Dialed downgrades its own confidence in these cases and says so on the page, rather than presenting every answer as equally solid.
No guarantee
Buying a club described here may not lower your scores. Take the spec sheet to a fitter or a demo day and confirm it by hitting shots before you spend money. When your numbers are already good, Dialed will tell you to keep what you own, and that answer stays free.
