Terms of use
Draft. Not reviewed by a lawyer.
This set of terms was drafted by the Dialed team to describe what the product actually does, as a starting point for legal review. It has not been checked by a qualified lawyer and should not be relied on. Anything in square brackets is a decision still to be made.
No payments are being taken at the moment.
By using Dialed you agree to what follows. If you do not, please do not use the site.
What Dialed is
Dialed reads golf launch monitor numbers that you type in and computes equipment guidance from them, using a fixed set of rules with published sources. It shows which of your numbers sit inside or outside the optimal windows for your speed, and what specification changes those rules suggest.
What Dialed is not
It is not a professional club fitting, and it is not instruction. A numbers-only fitting cannot see your lie angle, your club length, where on the face you strike the ball, your tempo, or how a club feels in your hands. Those need a person watching you hit shots, and an in-person fitting remains the better answer for every one of them.
Dialed is a free first step and a second opinion. It is built to tell you when the honest answer is to keep the clubs you already own, and it says so regularly.
Accuracy, and no guarantee
The guidance depends entirely on the numbers you enter. Numbers from a driving range, from an estimated rather than measured reading, or from only a few swings produce a less reliable result, and the site labels its own confidence accordingly.
No outcome is guaranteed. Buying a club we describe may not improve your golf. Confirm any specification with a qualified fitter before you spend money.
Products we name
The full report names real products as examples across price ranges. They are examples, not endorsements. No manufacturer pays for placement, supplies our data, or reviews our results, and we take no affiliate commission. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify equipment.
We check specifications against manufacturers’ own published pages and record which we have confirmed and which we have not. Manufacturers change and discontinue products without telling us, so check the current specification with the seller before buying.
Paying for a report
The diagnosis is free. The full report is a one-time payment for that one fitting. It is not a subscription and there is nothing to cancel.
Access is tied to the report link, not to you. Because there are no accounts, whoever holds the link can open the unlocked report. That is deliberate, so you can open it on any device and hand it to a fitter, but it does mean that posting your link publicly shares the report you paid for.
Keep your link. Without an account we have no other way to find your purchase.
Purchases are currently available to buyers in the United States only. We expect to open other countries once the consumer-law requirements for each are properly handled, which we would rather do correctly than quickly.
Refunds are covered on the refund policy page.
Fair use of the site
Run as many fittings as you genuinely need. Please do not script the site, scrape it, or try to extract the underlying data wholesale. Automated request limits are in place, and going past them gets you a temporary block rather than anything more dramatic.
Our content, and yours
The fitting rules, the written explanations and the site itself belong to us. Your numbers and the report built from them are yours to keep, print and share.
Liability
[To be drafted with our lawyer. The intent, stated plainly so it can be translated properly: Dialed is informational guidance offered in good faith, it carries no warranty, and we do not accept responsibility for equipment bought on the strength of it. We are not attempting to disclaim anything that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.]
Changes
The fitting rules change as the knowledge behind them improves. Every result records which version produced it, and the methodology page explains how. These terms may change too, and material changes will be dated here.
Who runs Dialed, and governing law
Dialed is run by a sole proprietor in the United States. There is no company behind it, which we would rather say plainly than dress up.
[Operator name withheld pending legal review. The founder would prefer not to publish his personal name; whether a US sole proprietor selling a digital product to consumers may trade under a name alone, or must identify the individual behind it, is a question for our lawyer and not one to answer by preference. See COUNSEL-BRIEF section 8.]
[Governing law and venue to be decided with our lawyer.]
